Our food is prepared in a working fish & chip shop where a number of different ingredients and allergens are handled.

Although we take care when preparing food, cross-contact between ingredients may be possible, so we cannot guarantee that any menu item is completely free from traces of allergens.

If you have a serious allergy, please speak to a member of staff before ordering so that we can check the current ingredients and explain how your food is prepared.

Please never rely solely on a previous visit or previous order, as ingredients and suppliers can occasionally change.

We keep allergen information for the products and ingredients used in our food.

If you need information about a particular dish, please ask a member of the Seafarers team. We can check the relevant ingredient and allergen information before you order.

The 14 regulated allergens

UK allergen regulations identify 14 allergens which must be declared when they are used as ingredients in food.

Celery: Including celery stalks, leaves, seeds and celeriac.
Cereals containing gluten: Including wheat, rye, barley and oats.
Crustaceans: Including prawns, crab and lobster.
Eggs
Fish
Lupin
Milk: Including ingredients containing milk or lactose.
Molluscs: Including mussels, oysters, squid, scallops and similar shellfish.
Mustard
Nuts: Including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios and macadamia nuts.
Peanuts
Sesame
Soya
Sulphur dioxide / sulphites: Where present above the regulated level.

Gluten & coeliac disease

If you have coeliac disease or need to avoid gluten, please speak to us before ordering.

An item should not be assumed to be gluten-free simply because bread, batter or another obvious source of gluten is not visible.

Our team can check the ingredients used and provide information about the way your chosen food is prepared.

Vegetarian & other dietary requirements

If you are vegetarian or have another dietary requirement, please ask us about the item you are considering.

Please remember that terms such as vegetarian or vegan do not automatically mean that a product is free from allergens.

We are happy to check the available ingredient information for you.

Ordering by phone

If you are placing an order by telephone and someone in your party has an allergy or intolerance, please tell us when placing the order.

Please also mention the allergy again when collecting your food so that our team can identify the relevant order and confirm the information with you.

Ingredients can change

We work with a number of food suppliers and, occasionally, manufacturers may change an ingredient or substitute a product.

For this reason, allergen information may change even when the menu item itself has not changed.
